·Hello everyone.
So I've fallen for this silver 1959 Seamaster Cal 591 Ref. . The dial looks very nice but a new crystal is needed since its broken at the top. The dial and hands seems very nice and so does the case. (Image 1, 2)
My questions is; What would be a realistic price for this watch, since the crystal do have a big crack would a bid of 450 - 500 USD still be considered a "good deal" or would it be over the top for a seamaster with a broken crystal?
And does the "r" in Seamaster look original? I've compared the dial to similar ones and it seems like the way it goes below the font isn't the same for other similar models, why is that? I've attached a photo of a similar dial for what I compared it against with the same ref. #. and same year.
Thanks!
