Some Traction Avants were assembled in London at one stage, so not surprising that there are quite a few in the UK

So actually made in London rather than Slough (as per MRC's link)?
I guess that together with 30s Rolls Royce's, it's probably the most common 30s (originally) car that you still see on the road..

Nope, it was Slough, some 20 miles from the centre of London and outside the (current) M25 border. It is possible that they had their registered office and main showroom in London which was very common. Even R-R did that when their cars were made in Crewe, 148 miles away.

Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, Death!

My memory can be a bit vague at times, must be oldtimers kicking in, yeah now that you mention it Slough rings a bell.
Dunno where London came from.

They are absolutely stunning, the best modern interpretation of the E-Type (as it’s known in the civilised world) or the XK-E in the US

The need to put system that pipes a fake exhaust note out is hilarious. I also like how the bumper sticker says it is a zero emission electric car. Doesn't it have a three cylinder internal combustion engine generating its electricity?

From my understanding, they can do a whopping 24 miles on full electric mode..
So if you're only staying very local and plug-in recharging it every day, then it might actually be possible somehow😉

Only then if the charging is done by renewable power, if the sparks come from a coal power station then it’d be more ecological to run a proper petrol engine

This is one of those statements that has some truth in it but it is not necessarily that clear cut.
