One complaint I have about Chrono24 is that they ask all the time for photos of your watch with the ID,to prove that you have the watch!
That is kinda frustrating!
I was just doing it for three watches, that's why I thought of it 馃榿
Agreed that it's a bit intrusive for sellers, but it's for the protection of buyers so I understand why they ask for it. They just want to make sure that you actually have the watch that you're listing for sale. If I was a buyer, I'd appreciate the extra level of protection.

Ok,I agree too,it's for the protection of the buyer but if they had the ID photo with the watch once ,why they want it twice or a third time?
If they see that someone is okay with their listings, they should trust them and not ask them anymore,IMO!
It is not that I have a problem doing it,just a bit lazy doing all the procedure and I always forget about my ID on the car when I get ready to do the verification 馃榿

i thought it is quite an elegant way to verify if you own the watch - but I was doing it only for 1 piece so it wasn't too difficult 馃榾

In terms of buyer protection I definitely wouldn鈥檛 fault them on that, we get endless complaints about the spot checks, 200 post rule, and various other things we do but convenience and safety is a balance that always has to err on the side of the later.

I recently bought from a Japan seller on there and got an amazing gen 2 x33. I was very happy with using Chrono24. I was happy with the whole process on there.

Team-up? Aren't they owned by the same holding company?
"MPN Marketplace Networks GmbH, the holding company that owns Chrono24, German pre-owned watch firm Zeitauktion and online watch magazine Fratello."

Interesting stuff, we are working on the idea for a PodCast with the first subject on:
" How the Watch content websites work and get their income, revenue and make profit ? "
An interesting finding/observation is the fact that on the watch content sites (e.g. Hodinkee, FratelloWatches) the best researched "in-depth" articles are often guest contributions by passionate enthusiasts.
As we know the profit margins on high-end time pieces are very high (often 50% to 60%), enabling research and marketing...
IMHO this is an interesting & honest video about companies working together with YouTube watch-channels & "influencers" :
