I have a very old chronograph watch. it has a venus 160 mvmt, but its dial says no brand name and the name on bridge is erased.

I have zero expectation on the value of this watch, but somehow become curious to know about it. Who made this?

Is that a 3 letter code on let's say 8/9 o'clock on the last pic? If so this may be a US import code which designates the factory

Correct, it looks like a US import code, to me it's UXS. Unfortunately I can't find a reference to USX.

As to the "factory" the code was applied to movements and watches imported into the USA by "anybody", so the code does not necessarily mean a known factory. It often relates to the company who actually imports the items.

In this case I suspect an "entepreneur" bought a stack of over runs or unsold stock and imported them as no names, thus the removed brand.

There is a faint brand mark under the top sub-dial, don't know if it was "removed" or just faded.
