I would like to share my latest acquisition, a 1965 Rolex Explorer 1016 and a 1984 Tudor Submariner 76100 Lollipop. My watchmaker gave me a call earlier today about a regular client of his who was in a rush to dispose these watches because he needed the additional funds to complete his purchase of a 6239 Daytona. We met at the watchmaker's shop and I was able to get both for very reasonable prices.

The watches are in great shape and looks to be unpolished. Both have very nice dials with even patinas. They are worthwhile addition to my collection especially the Explorer.

Is that one of the hacking 1016s? What is the SN range (just wondering, to match with the long coronet of the dial)?

If you have any solid, conservative business instincts, you'll sell me the 1016 for a modest profit. 😗

Wow, the patina on the 76100 is darker than any other that I've seen (I own one that's more eggshell colored). Makes you wonder what was different about this one's life.

That explorer is a beauty. I actually like that it's not guild. Makes the contrast more effective

The 76100 Lollipop is such a great and unique watch. I bet they'll be going for more than the snowflakes in a few years.
