Caught a Rolex Daytona 16520

    I managed to acquire this 1996 Rolex Daytona 16520 with black dial for a very reasonable price from a friend who is upgrading to a Patek Nautilus.

    Its in very good condition but by no means a safe queen. The watch has a "U" serial which i think falls within the Patrizzi range?

    A great addition to my collection.

    Looks great, congratulations! I wasn’t much of a fan of the look of Rolex watches, until I saw the Daytonas. I especially like the white dial, black ceramic bezel version, but unfortunately so do many other people, and Rolex won’t make enough of them.

    Congrats! IIRC, the Patrizzi range is the S, N, T and W series?
    Anyway, I recall that the subchapter rings of my 16520 black dial also had an offwhite tone to it. It was also a U series.

    Congrats on your Daytona, you've got the great El Primero movement. Mine says hi with its 4130 Rolex movement.
