The value is something only you can decide for yourself. It includes factors such as how much you desire the watch, and how much you can afford to pay for it.

the current market price is a little easier to discern, and the best way to establish this is to look at recently sold examples of the watch. A good way to do this is to look at eBay, searching for the watch model and filtering for completed / sold items and remembering that model variants and condition will affect things. Looking at asking prices of watches will not help you.

This also depends on where you are in the world so it’s best to consider local data only.

i have both the earlier manual version and automatic in good condition, and most importantly have deceivingly similar dial design. the automatic has cal565 (similar to the original sm300) and oval dial (while the manual has sunken dial). yes, the price depends on you. that piece seems to be in good condition too and it rests quite comfortable on your wrest.

Very difficult for a regular owner to get a photo of the movement unless they get a watchmaker to open it.
The watch has a monocoque case and the movement is removed from the front after the crystal is removed with a special tool.

For this reason, it makes it harder for watch tinkerers to do their own "adjusting" etc, so movements are usually in good condition.

Have a check on sold listings for the same and similar references on eBay (and perhaps old sale ads in this forum). Then you’ll be able to give your opinion as to the value and the conversation can go from there.

I do not have pictures of the movement..Anyway i checked on eBay and the variation of the prices for Omega Genve Dynamic watches it's very big..I have seen from 300-400 to 1000..That was the reason i asked for an evaluation..:). Regards.

So you need to identify elements that differentiate between the lower and higher end (condition, originality, private sale vs dealer).

It sounds like it’s a private sale so obviously discount (higher) prices from dealers. However, it appears to have a good case with remnants of the original finish. On the negative the crystal has an issue and you cannot get a movement shot. As a result I’d say, towards the middle part of the spectrum, perhaps slightly higher, for private sale prices.

Btw I don’t have any interest in this reference so I don’t know what I’d value it as. I’d guess around £300-400 in a private sale, no service history, etc
