Yes. I think for the price, he could get a set, a service and not break the bank.

Seller said 100% original 🤔 . Of course he did mention the crown might not be original.

I didn't read the listing, since he already purchased it. If it was listed as all original, it ain't, so you should get your money back. I would look for a better example. They're out there for not much more money.

Should I pay for the watch? The price is good but the hands are not original. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your call on that one. As stated above, you can source a proper set of hands for it. As it will need to be properly serviced, the changing of the hands should be priced as part of the service. So it has some issues. For the price it would not worry me too much. If you want a complete and really original Omega with that dial, you will pay a lot more than you did. Think of it as your newbie dues. It can still be an awesome watch, just needs a little TLC.

Yes, you entered a legally binding contract and there was nothing undisclosed about the watch. The condition was clearly evident in the photographs and description.

As to the sellers claim of "original", would you take as gospel the assessment by someone who sells sunglasses, fishing reels, spanners, Michael Kors watches?

To him (or her) the fact that it looks all original is due to the case/movement and dial markings.

It's only pedantic perfectionists like us that would know the hands are replacements.

It's not a deal breaker and you have a nice watch that could do with new hands.

And I think the crown is original.

Thanks for the advice and I have made payment. It's a nice watch after all.

As JimInOz said: Yes. However, there is a 14 day money back return policy on the listing, should you decide to.

He could negotiate a small refund base on the estimated cost of replacement hands. Seller probably doesn't want to deal with relisting.

If the crown is signed (I can't tell from the photo), then it is original. Same is true for the crystal. Dial is original and in better than average condition, despite the light printing.

A good watchmaker should be able to source the hands for this watch easily. Otherwise, it looks good to me.

Price was pretty good in today's market. All steel usually brings a small premium over gold-capped.
