    Hi all

My Mrs has bought me this vintage Omega from eBay -

It's a lovely watch but I just wanted to see if anyone can identify it and confirm its authenticity.

Obviously it's not got the original strap and the crown has been replaced, but I'm happy to get those parts replaced myself.

    Thanks in advance.

A Calibre 75x for $220 isn't bad for a daily wear piece, the 75x series are very good and quite reliable.

    Amazing, thanks guys

dsio, forgive my ignorance but what does Calibre 75x mean? That's the type of movement right?

Is anyone able to identify the model or anything?

Calibre 75X is the movement type in the watch...as in for example a cal. 750, 751, 752, ect. In other words the 75X family of movements...by the way that movement looks to be in very good condition.

That's not much more than parts price these days.

Yea I was just thinking that, your Mrs didn't do too bad, most people who buy first then come here buy a lemon or a junker, that tends to be even more the case when its someone's wife doing the shopping but that watch once serviced (which you do need to do) will go for decades and decades.

If you use the search feature on the forum, you'll find some good recommendations for watch strap sites.

    Enjoy the watch!

    Nice!

    Thanks man

Having a brain fail with the search, would it be too much to ask ppl to post me some links to suitable straps?

Undecided on bracelet or leather - prefer bracelet generally but think I'll have a hard time matching the gold

Here are the sites I've picked up from the Forum. I haven't ordered from any of them yet, but have browsed them and feel they offer some good choices. Good luck!
