Calling X-33 owners or potential owners. Should I get a Marstimer?

My OB has offered me a Marstimer.

I’m leaning towards this cool and unique piece.

Any thoughts? I like the size and weight, when I tried on a regular x-33.
As a pilot I like gen 1 and 2 best. They are simpler and quicker to operate and what I find to be a huge difference in illumination. The first two illuminate long enough to change a setting. From what I read the illumination on the third iteration is just a bit too brief for that. Just my two eurocents

I was offered one and tried it on, very comfortable, had the neat factor with a lot of features. But question is how much use would I get from it. Couldn't justify the price tag as I was planning a big vacation at the time. Got the memories from the vacation and had enough left over for another week at a Cancun resort.

The OP made his decision a while ago now… in Nov. 2023 😉

It's never too late to nudge the OP and pressure him into getting an X-33. I mean, it's been 14 months. Surely he must be feeling the itch to buy another watch.

FWIW, the Mars timer is cool, but the Solar Impulse keeps calling to me... Maybe this year will be the year.

Too true! I think Phil owes it to himself to get a new watch. It is about time after all ::stirthepot::

I do like the Solar Impulse, but I have to say, I love the Mars timer. That would be the one for me.

@Scarecrow Boat @Dsloan @p4ul

You Pesky Enablers, get off of my lawn!!!

I think there is a 42mm 2500 PO in my future, I keep going back to the Nezumi GMT… and I’m high on the list for the new Soliel Dial.

Geez, now I'm looking at the Marstimer as well. The bronze red bezel is such a great look.

Even from afar; one could tell its a different watch from the generic Rolexes / Seikos...

Tried on the Marstimer a while back. Comfortable to wear with it being titanium, deceiving with the size, and bezel is unique. Wouldn't have enough time in rotation to justify picking it up for the price. But neat one nonetheless.
