Excuse the follow up to my own post but thought I’d close the loop on the modern replacement 633 end links vs the vintage ones in case any other future members think about it. Turns out I couldn’t stand the way the bracelet fitted with the modern replacement 633s, there was to much of a gap where the bracelet met the end link. Basically the end link was too tall for the case and vintage bracelet. Best photo I have of it. You can really see misalignment at the 12 hour lug.

So I figured the only thing I could do was source some vintage 633s and see how it worked out. In the words of Ace Ventura, it fit “like a glove” and I’m much happier with the fitment.

If anyone else ends up going this route, I highly recommend the vintage 633 end links. It’s a wonderful fit and personally I dig the look!

Rather than starting a new thread since this is all about pics of 2254.50's, I'm reviving this one with a question.

Has anyone tried a 1171/633 bracelet on a 2254.50? Or do any OF members have a 2254.50 and a 1171/633 bracelet that the could post a few photos of this watch head / bracelet combination?

Other than @VetPsychWars who posted a side view of a 2254.50 with the 1171/633, I haven't found any other examples of this pairing. Before I look to purchase a 1171/633 setup I figured I'd ask to see if anyone could help out here.

EDIT: Found a couple other posts that showed most of what I was looking to see. For those who are interested, linked here and here.
The endlink curve/fit looks awful in the first example that you linked here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/2254-bracelet-options.104108/#post-1363244

But, I'm very intrigued by this setup.

Hirsch Caoutchouc, reasonably priced quality strap.

If anyone is tempted to get a fake Omega strap, this is how it looks after under a years use. In fact I think most of the degradation happened in storage. So it might be cheaper to buy the real thing.

I think this watch looks best on its original bracelet, but wanted to see what admiralty grey looked like. Not bad, not bad at all.

Here it is on a 60’s-70’s Tropic Sport style strap. I think this is a strong look.

New to me bracelet for the 2054.50!

I’m not the biggest fan of the thickness of the modern bracelet and after some late night eBay trying to fall asleep scrolling, I came across a great condition 1181 bracelet. It might have been NOS as it arrived on wonderful condition. After a bit of research, and finding a post here on OF that I can’t find the link for at the moment, I took an educated guess that if I was able to remove the outer most link on either side the second to last link should be about 20mm and match up with the lug width of the SMP lugs. Once it arrived, turned out my hunch was right so I was off to fit a set of 633 end links. Luckily I was able to source some new service ones through my local OB. The fit of those with the case is not perfect but I think it would fit better with a pair of vintage ones. That’s a search for some other time though. All in all, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Yes it looks like an oyster bracelet but I like my poor man’s 1168 bracelet solution. It’s damn comfortable on the wrist and I’m quite happy with how it turned out.
Love this!
