2254 bracelet options

My newly serviced 2254 is back in action but I have been wearing a DJ 41 in the meantime & the 20 to 16 mm taper of the Oyster bracelet makes the Speedy type bracelet of the 2254 look a bit agricultural.
Can anyone recommend an Omega bracelet & end link combination that would offer the same 20mm to 16mm taper as the Oyster ?
Many thanks ,

I have found the perfect sollution for my 2531.80.
It´s the 930 endlinks from the 1610 bracelet, combined with a 1498 speedmaster bracelet. Solid and sturdy bracelet, but with the comfort and true elegance of a 20-16 bracelet.

I REALLY like that! Particularly that it will look good on a 2254 that uses a Speedmaster type bracelet already. The original / standard bracelet tapers from 20mm to 18mm, but I really like the 20mm to 16mm taper.
Ironically I didn't like tapered bracelets until I got a DateJust 41 on an Oyster. The DJ rotates between my 2254 & my Moonwatch & I think the Oyster is the best of the 3 bracelets in terms of appearance because of the taper. Quality wise there's not much in it in my opinion, all 3 are well made but the Oyster is much nicer to look at in my view.

I think watches with either a slim or a flat case need a tapered bracelet to look proportional.
A thick watch like the Doxa divers manage to pull off a non tapered bracelet with style. The Omega SMP does not IMO.

My next task is to look for the parts for the project. Are these items easily available? are UK prices reasonable?
@seikoskar, can I use the end links from the original bracelet that was supplied on my 2254? That would mean I'd only need the 1498 bracelet...

Hello all, sorry to revive an old thread but does the solid end links for speedy pro (pre2021) fit Seamaster 300 (i.e. 2254.50)? I ask because I want to see if aftermarket band like flat link bracket made by Forstner would fit my Seamaster or not. Uncle Seiko Holzer bracelet fit my 2264.50 (quartz version) nicely, but it is a hollow link.

Thanks!

No, they don't. Completely different. I fitted a 633 to the 2254.50 once but they were never the same again.

You do know that the 1610 bracelet used on the 2254/5 and other sword hand SMP models does taper, right? It’s a 20/18mm design. I agree the 1503 Bond bracelet (which doesn’t taper) is a bit chunky at the clasp.

1574 Aquaterra bracelet with 898 end links should work also. I think it tapers to 17. I just got back from the Houston OB and did this to my 2220.80 Seamaster when all I was going to do was adjust the original bracelet on the watch.
