Yes ....

See this gold filled example .....

The LCD display is golden tone not silver.
Bill
ok, I did not know that. Tomorrow I'm in Biel in the Omega Museum, ask exactly why

Not a real technical question Andreas The steel case watches had silver toned LCD screens and the Gold "tone" cases plated or otherwise had Golden tone LCD displays... now over the years parts get scarce and you might wind up with a silver tone diplay on a gold tone model and visa versa....

Good Hunting

a gold-colored LCD display ????? Do I understand this in the right manner

Display is not really the right description - the term for the part I assume Bill is referring to is the LCD mask that has all the printing on it.

Note that currently only one mask is available for this case number, so the gold tone and stainless case use the same mask. Yours looks fine to me and the same as what Omega says should be on the watch.

Part number for that is 1340007.

Cheers, Al

Hi Al

What I am talking about the LCD display itself. I have two movements in my project parts...

I posted a pic of them a long time ago... side by side one steel and one gold toned.. and you can clearly see LCD is gold tone.

I just cant find the post right now here are other examples..

not sure if that would be a "MASK"......

Hi Al

What I am talking about the LCD display itself.

The LCD display is the one that tells you the actual time. It's part of the movement and not shown in the posts made by AndreasSwiss, so how you are concluding that the one he has is not right I can't say.

The part that has the printing on it that us under the crystal is the LCD mask. Again only one is available for the specific case that AndreasSwiss has shown, and it looks identical to what he has in his watch. Based on this I believe it is totally correct.

Hi Al
As you stated @AndreasSwiss only posted the case and not the movement. I dont know what he has... I only asked him what he has.

Al, all I said and posted was that gold tone watches should have come with gold tone lcd display. that is all and that was from casual observation.

When I saw @AndreasSwiss post of a case only.. I asked him if he had the movement or not I wanted to see it.. in any case a working movement with either gold or silver display is better then one that is not working.

Best

Bill - okay I was under the impression you were indicating something was incorrect on his watch, so I commented on the only thing that I could see - the LCD mask. I now see that your post was sort of a non-sequitur, said in passing - confusing because the examples you posted have different coloured LCD masks.

Just a note that the LCD display itself is not in different colours. If needed the reflector that goes behind the LCD can be changed...

Cheers, Al

HI Al

Really ? a filter that goes on top of the led? I just found pics of two watches i have somewhere... will find them and pull movements out of the case and take a closer look... Last time i looked at them was years ago... and It looked like the LCD crystal was a complete unit either silver or gold tone... ....

Al, sorry English is my first language and it still a challenge for me ! 😉
