Calibre 8900 weird rotor behavior

About a month ago I got an Aqua Terra (horizontal teak deck dial) with the Calibre 8900.

I recently noticed that when the watch is wound up, the rotor seems to spin in a "jerky" motion when I move it around. The best I can describe it is that when I tilt the watch with the rotor at the top, it does not spin down to the bottom very easily, as if the bearings are tight.

However, I did a test where I ran the watch down until it stopped, and at that point the rotor seemed to spin much more freely. Even just winding the crown a few turns causes the rotor to spin slightly jerky as compared to when it's been completely run down.

I have seen some watches from other brands where the rotor seems to spin very very freely, though I believe they may have also been run down as they were in display cases at the store.

Is this something that is expected for the 8900's? (Or even automatic watches in general, this is the first one I have with an exhibition caseback.) I got the watch "new" from my local AD ("new" meaning I have no idea how long it's been in their stock but it came with a full Omega warranty) so I'm wondering if this is something that may need to be looked at under warranty. Thanks!

When the mainsprings are fully wound, it is natural for the rotor not to move as freely as when they are unwound - this is normal.
