Wow, that's the lowest I have ever seen for unworn 2019 watch with the remainder of the original warranty plus a 2 year seller warranty. I imagine that It was 1st sold and dated with warranty card, not worn, and then re-sold after buyer's remorse.

It looks like the Omega import fees will only run about $80 + taxes https://www.chronext.com/omega/speedmaster/311-30-42-30-01-005/004440#

When shipping to the US, luxury watches are additionally taxed. Here are 2 simple facts that you need to know:

  1. Customs Fee: You will have to pay a customs fee, the rate of which is determined by the value of your watch. Generally, the customs fee is between 2-5%.
  2. Federal State Tax: In addition, you will have to pay a Federal State Tax, which is determined via a tax ID or a Social Security Number. Thus, it is important to collect your telephone number, as UPS will be in contact with you in order to gather this information.
Additional Payment: A UPS agent will ask you to sign for the package and hand you a customs invoice, which you can then assess and pay via cash or credit upon delivery.

I mean I’ve already put 150 down and echeck in process haha so is the loss of that money worth it ya think? Import fees would bring it up to atleast 4K no?

Go to the for sale section of the forum and you can pick up a new one fairly cheap. You can buy from @demollo here. This is brand new and shipped from Europe. I bought from him and the watch came perfectly packaged, with warranty, and only missing a few months off the warranty. You can also check out @Kringkily and @mdgrwl who are also well known here for selling well priced and new pieces.

Honestly, even if you lose the $150 deposit, it may be worth going for the new with warranty version for the same price as are about to pay now. But Im sure you can inquire about getting a refund prior to it being picked up.

Two button clasp came in around 1993 if I'm correct

Check my first comment. I stated I paid under this brand new complete BUT without warranty. I would argue the routinely part though. If you keep an eye out you can find a deal but I wouldn't say you find it that low all the time.

It was $3,480 back in Late May/early June. Was only trying to suggest that it wasn’t some one time/Black Friday 2017 kinda thing. If you watch it you can find it for a good price, a base Speedy with a bracelet under $4,000 with an Omega warranty is a good deal in my book.

I mean it’s got the full box- would you really think losing the 150 would be worth it? I feel shitty for the seller but thought it was a little bit better of a deal than it ended up being? Here’s high def full light pictures of the watch, with light Scratches on photos 9 and 11

Honestly a few people told you to keep an eye out and wait for a good deal. You didnt even wait 24 hours haha. If you're happy with the deal you made then that's all that matters.

To be completely fair, it’s neither of the watches in my post and I also was under the impression the watch still had warrenty which it did not.

I mean it’s not too late if it a bad deal- I know whatever I choose will be the wrong choice regardless but at this point considering 150 down add that to the price of any other watch you could buy. Beating myself up thinking omega warrenty was 5 years but the comment here had me realizing that that was only on the new ones smh

If you're buying a Speedy either buy brand new or if you want second hand a 3590 (gives you the best of both worlds).

if it's a gift he'll appreciate the new watch and if it's the 3590 it's the best way to get into the "vintage vibe" without the vintage hassles.

IMO that is 😀

Regardless of the price discussion, you have a great father because he raised a son who is attentive enough to see what makes him happy. Congrats to both of you, great idea and gift!

Kind regards Max
