No because the state/city/county cop can't look at my credit card records a month or year later and come at me for a lot frauding…
I think we had a thread recently about someone who received a state use-tax bill for a watch that passed through customs. This seems to depend on the state. This could be substantially more than the customs duty itself, although obviously one would be paying sales tax when buying in the US.
No because the state/city/county cop can't look at my credit card records a month or year later and come at me for a lot frauding whereas CBP & the feds can.
But you do you! 🍿
