Hi all, I'm here as I need some advice. I dont own any Omega's and only bought myself any significant watches the last two years so a lot to learn.

I have a brother who is having his first child in a month, he is a big watch guy and has always had an interest in getting a moonwatch, although he was always considering various vintage options. I wanted to as a present to commemorate his first kid get him a new one, so he could be the custodian of the watch until the 18th birthday and then it be passed down to him as a present from his dad, bought by his uncle and create a whole story.

I dont know enough about what im buying though and im concerned ill get the wrong one and it will linger over this present forever which would be a real shame. I want it to be as close to the history of the watch as possible for the modern versions, I did read and watch some reviews but there seem to be some conflicting info ... suggestions would be much appreciated.

Firstly welcome aboard the mothership & what a great gesture to your brother . I think you could be my long lost brother & its great to meet up again after so many years apart and we have lots of catching up to do, but firstly I want you to know I have 7 children all boys 馃槜 & as we are brothers could I ask now if you would buy me 7 watches & have them ready for collection from a Omega AD of my choice . I dont want anything to overly expensive or flashy , but I would like a Speedy Hesalite , Speedy Sapphire , DSOTM , GSOTM , 50th Anniversary Speedy , Constellation & Seamaster please which would create some nice memories for your new nephews . Many thanks in advance ,your long lost Brother 馃檮 .

Only Joking of course , but you wont go wrong with a Hesalite Moonwatch .

the speedy is a solid suggestion, but just throwing it out there... when my son was born i found a seamaster, my birthyear, in blue, from the country my wife was born in... it all came together too perfectly. makes me smile every time i wear it.

I bought my first major watch purchase through @Kringkily when I acquired a new Speed Master Pro hesalite from him back in September. I was pretty new and unknown on the forum. He responded quickly each and every time I reached out to him. Here was my post about the experience. Maybe your inquiry slipped through the cracks some how, but George could not have been more responsive. Good luck on your purchase!

He is who I contacted. Maybe he is out of pocket, but you would expect someone to mention that if they put up for sale post.

Hi there. I鈥檝e searched my inbox and emails and don鈥檛 seem to have a message. Please let me know how I can help.
