+1 for the watch on your wrist. I might be biased...
Love the AOPA coffee cup. 👍 Been a member for over 30 years.

Looks great - thanks for your comments. The PO also suits your wrist size perfectly (that was one of the reasons I didn't post a picture of me wearing mine, but I'll save that hangup for another day 😀)

If you're not confident with how it looks on your wrist then definitely stick with the Sleek Black.

Current watch is classier.. New one is sportier... take your pick?

Personally, I would stay with what you have.

I remember reading how somebody answered a similar question a few years ago on another forum.

Year 1-3 Regret, wished it was a (INSERT NAME OF ANOTHER WATCH)
Year 3-5 Complacent, found it to be a good watch, but desired other watches.
Year 6-7 Appreciation and admiration for time keeping and overall how well the watch has aged.

Agree.

The worst is when you have "Seller's Remorse".
You think you're done with some prized possession, you sell it, then a few years later, you start looking to buy it (or something similar) again.

It is one of the reasons I try not to sell things in a rush.

Fellow pilot here ️

I like the one you have best but I likewise find myself lusting over orange planet oceans. My problem is I won't be able to hide an orange watch from the lady so it will have to wait... Can't go wrong either way but the one on your wrist is pretty badass

I vote current watch that has a splash of color on the bezel with some versatility to switch between jeans/T and slacks/button down. I feel like I would tire more easily of the orange bezel version as well

I suggest you keep your watch and days you feel colorful, put on the orange deployant or perhaps try an orange Maratac G10/NATO.

I’m not a wearer of modern Omegas and would never wear any of those as I’m a woman. But if I might chime in I would say the second one is an incredibly attractive fashion statement - but looks indeed much less of a daily watch, especially at work.
The first one, while more discreet, still has really nice and funky colorful design touches.
So I too would vote for the first one:

In essence, the tirst one is a reliable staple, the second one is a toy for those people who can switch around luxury watches. And indeed, as stated before, you might tire of it when the fun wears off.

Agree. As a "fashion statement", the orange bezel watch is more striking.
It would be the perfect watch for someone that drove an orange sports car like this beautiful McLaren.

+1 for your first choice of PO; I much prefer the more subtle touches of orange 👍

I noticed in an episode of Grand Tour on Amazon, Jeremy Clarkson was wearing an all orange Planet Ocean with the orange rubber strap. Looked great in the show but I can't at the moment remember what he was driving...

Just as a side note, as it's a fairly new release, I've not been able to read too many reviews of the newer all-orange ceramic PO. In the flesh, it's certainly lighter in tone than the previous version with the aluminium bezel.

I've also only seen the new one with a grey dial/orange combo.

Others will be way more knowlegable about it than me, but I remember the previous version of the PO came with the option of an orange bezel (aluminium) and black dial.
Yes, that is the 3313 the first gen Planet Ocean Chrono, and I have one. There are actually 3 variants of it all with a black dial. Orange bezel with Orange numbers, Black bezel with white numbers and black bezel with orange numbers.

I like the watch, but it's more of a Summertime need to be fancy casual watch. Great for trips out on a boat for sunset wine, or a cabana party. Its loud but not obnoxious, It can dress down as well, but its a big watch and for more daily use I tend to wear other pieces. You would never wear it with a suit even if you could get it under your cuffs... Which is somewhat hard on these due to size. Of the 2 I would prefer the grey dial one with the reddish orange bezel, it is way classier, and is more fancy casual than the other one IMHO. the black with the orange rubber market is kinda boring... Go big or go home.

Then the 2nd gen also came in Orange bezel and black dial. The 2nd gen watches is the 9300, I am not a fan as these are the thickest of the POC's.

Much prefer the black and orange you have.

Orange bezel is just a little to in your face.

This is true to a point IMHO, I have three watches that exceed the Yr 6-7 and totally agree with this view, however, my other watches come in the year 1-3 but I don't regret as I like each of the watches. So I think that there is an element of truth in the statements but not fully as it will depend on each of us as individuals.

Good point! Apologies. Here are the two models. The first two images are of the watch I currently own; the third is the one I'm considering.
3rd one is pretty ‘jazzy’. Depends if that’s your style or not. Personally, I like your own one better.
