Added in an exhibition caseback and I have my poor-man’s 321

Add a legible handset and you’re basically there! ::stirthepot::😁

Did I miss something fundamental here… the purpose of a watch is to tell the time… it’s not an investment - it’s a functional or luxury purchase… one can only wish all the flippers and speculators the very worst as the economy tightens
i agree 100%!!
if i would buy a 321 i would wear it for its historical movement and not own it because it will rise in price!

So are you basically saying the original is a waste of a wonderful movement given this is nearly a 1:1 reissue? "A wonderful movement" that you couldn't even see in the original that you were all "about"...

yup. I know I’m weird that way. I would’ve bought it if it was a more standard Speedy with hesalite and closed back. Basically a NOS moon watch would’ve been interesting. I get the Ed White thing with the different case shape/size and why they picked the more blingy materials and Saphire sandwich. Just not for me.

Man, you mean to say you missed out on the omegaforum members only, top secret, ultra limited edition they did with the hesalite crystal and tritium dial?

You would have paid $14,000+ for a “standard” Pro case/back with hesalite?

*glances skeptically*

I'm with you on that one. There's no way I'm spending $14k on a closed caseback 321 Speedy Pro.

Nice. It is a bit like Fight Club though and we aren't really supposed to talk about it. Everyone who was a member in 2020 with more than a thousand likes was offered one of these weren't they? It must be said the $5K price was very reasonable. Here is mine:

Fixed. 😉

So, inspired by this thread I inquired at my AD regarding the list and timelines for the Ed White.

“No list and 3 years to never,” quoth he.

So perhaps its the 321 bracelet + acrylic caseback route for me and my shabby wee FOIS after all….

I went from sorry list is full like 6 months ago from an SA at my OB to we'll put you on the list with a different SA.

I'm #27 so it's going to be awhile since they've received 5 since launch.

2010 these were $800-$1000 on EBay and would take weeks to sell…
(Just saying for newer members)
