Hi guys. I am really drooling over the MOTM馃グ. I could not sleep. ::facepalm1:: My GMT II is just six months old. Should I dive in or wait for few more months? Thoughts?

You have been wearing the same watch for 6 months!?!馃槻

What's the statutory limit on a new watch purchase on this Forum? About 21 minutes?

I'm sorry, are you asking if you should buy a watch now or wait? Let's tally up all of those that say buy now vs. wait. I'm going to guess it'll be 99 to 1, and the 1 person who said wait will have misread the question and voted the wrong way. 馃榾

I say buy now. Assuming you're comfortable with the spend. I say always spend your money responsibly, but if you've got it and it'll make you happy, go for it!

I'm looking at the caliber 1863 not yet decided. I might get the 1861 though. Does your watch gets scratches easily? That's my concern.

Only reason is that, I just bought a Rolex. And I'm thinking that an ordinary person like me to have two luxury watches is too much. What do you think?

I think there are plenty of ordinary people here. I was in the same boat as you a month or two ago, and am looking for a speedmaster to go with my new Planet Ocean. You only live once, and all that...

Mine its still new (6 weeks) but from my experience till now i'd say no. But even if it scratches its not a problem, with some polywatch the light scratches it might gets will disappear. Even if the scratches are really bad its really cheap to change the hesalite.
I'd say see both in person and decide witch one looks better to you.
In my opinion the hesalite looks better and its more close to the original

You came to the wrong place if you wanted to hear that you should wait.

FWIW: We may want to consider buying a couple of Omega logo hesalite crystals while they are still available 馃槈
