Recently I stubled upon this nice looking (just my opinion) 69 speedy.
Serial is in range of those nice browns, so this and the dial picture got my attention.
I found it on the fb page SweepingHand. There is also a website. Anyone is familiar with this shop?
Anyway it's in UK, which is not perfect living in EU. I asked about a price and more pictures. The price was 7500 pounds which I find a good price. Possibly as I haven't gotten any more pics yet.
If I could see the watch live I would definitely go for it. So just leave it here, maybe someone will go deeper in the process.

I think the picture do not put in the value at maximum the brown color but it's a very nice looking watch.

Some people are selling regular 69’s for that price 😝
So that seems pretty neat for a tropical dial! The watch looks very familiar lol I don’t know how.

Yea … price seems a tad low for a chocolate.

As far as I recall, the guy who runs sweeping hand used to post on VRF so maybe worth a post on there if looking for references. I don’t know him so can’t vouch either way, sorry.

Looks great.
It is! The price seems a bit low, but maybe more pictures will show why. Even with some issues could be a nice catch.

I guess it depends of one's taste. To me it reminds me some of those swirling chocolate brown 69s and they look amazing live.

Looking at this with fresh eyes. That darkness on the dial which I first thought to be shadow…looks like XS oil staining. Would need to see more detailed pics in various light.

No lume on the dial and no oem band, this explains the price IMHO.
Nevertheless a highly collectable watch.

Cheers

Hi all. Someone emailed me to say my watch had been mentioned here. I’ve not been in here for many years but have been collecting vintage Omega for about 20 and a lot of people know me individually and as SweepingHand.

some strange comments here though?? The dial has been washed and has no lume?? Oil marks??

It has all original lume to dial and hands and glows exactly as it should under UV and light ie it will glow and then die very quickly. If you want to see a video of it WhatsApp me and I’ll send it.

I’ve been away since posting first pic on my Facebook/Instagram saying it was coming in so not sorted out all the photos yet but will do later this week and add them to social media and my site if it’s still available.

The dial is a normal dark colour. You only really see the brown tones in bright light or direct sunshine. It’s not like one of my very light brown caramel Speedmasters. That’s also why it’s not mega money….
