·Wanted to share a picture of my Breguet Tradition 7097 in white gold, I’ve been after this piece for about 18 months, humming and ahhing about it as it’s a ridiculous amount of money. A few months ago I had seen one on chrono 24 from a dealer in Germany at a (relatively) good price but I never pulled the trigger on it and it got sold. More recently I saw another one come up at a similar price and although marketed as used looked to be in excellent condition.
Anyway, I ended up buying it and after my house and car this is the third most expensive thing I have ever purchased. I’ve had it a couple of weeks now and am super pleased, I think it’s a beautiful piece and seeing the movement on the front turn and pulsate the way it does reminds me of a beating heart, almost as though it’s a living thing. It’s not that common either (never seen one in the wild) so vs. an AP Royal Oak or a VC Americanes Historique which were also on my short list (and remain there for the future) I think I made the right choice.
