It is all part of the mandatory grooming process here at OF. You have now got to the first level - embarrassment. Five levels still to go. You are good to go. 👍

I am a dumbass - and proud of it. I once thought... no - I am not going there - the scars have just healed. Let us just say I have come over it and am proud. Bear your OF-scar with pride. You are among friends (and Ulack).

It's the Watchmakers assistant. She's a happy girl when she gets a methane refill job....

The cow would be standing on two legs if my big arm was put there.

Nobody is friends with the boss. 🙁 It's lonely at the top.
Yep, here's our own @Mad Dog enjoying a tasty Cincinnati style Barbecued Squirrel just today.

I visited Colorado Springs (6,250 ft altitude) and set my FAT BOY (Omega 300M Co-axial Ceramic Chrono...'C3') on the sink counter as I showered. After showering, I reached for it, it was gone! I thought it was stolen. Imagine my relief when I found it floating on the ceiling! I immediately unscrewed the He valve to let some out. Disconcerting.

Instead of a helium-filled luxury watch, perhaps you should consider one that uses hot air?
Heckuvalot cheaper! All thread contributors here can contribute hot air also!

Heliox is a better option, but you will need to retrofit the watch with special set of gaskets.
But then you are looking at $700 service charge because of the Synthetic Silicone Ceramic (SSC) gaskets that not only have to be replaced on the case back, but also the stem. And there is only 1 manufacturer of the stem SSC gaskets in the world. $$$

What about the older vintage watch? I have this '59 Longines ...

If a person was to hose the inside of this watch with pure helium and then snap the back on real fast, could his timepiece benefit from the attributes of helium?

Couldn't hurt to try. The main idea is to displace the oxygen, to protect against oxidation. No one's ever had a problem with helidation, right?
