Has a great For Sale Section, but learned long ago and through a few bannings that you are not allowed to have an opinion contrary to the Fuhrer and his crew. I tried to save a guy once from making a huge mistake in buying a 5513 that was overpolished and parts weren't correct. Mod PM's me and says I can't be that critical of a watch. I must have stared at the screen for what felt like an hour at the stupidity of that message. So, of course I let him have it about how it was the truth and the newbie was about to lose a ton of money on a poor purchase. Banned.

Wonder what forum he’s off to now complaining about being banned from OF.

When there’s a repeated pattern of others not liking what you say, at some point you ‘should’ realize that just maybe it’s you...
Invicta Forum...

I got banned from another watch forum beginning with T and ending in Z ...(only forum banned from out of many) for asking a mod politely whether with references I can sell a personal watch before I hit the 200 posts mark - it wasn't that far off the mark. I then received a series of personally abusive messages which were largely disingenuous to my mother and about the size of my manhood - and worse. I don't think they ever met either of us which puzzled me... 😕. Whether he / she was just having a meltdown day I'm not sure but I wouldn't set foot in that forum if it were the last watch forum on the planet. It was unnecessary.

Zone ends in "e"...just sayin' 😉

And by the sounds of the message you received, it was a she...and I have been on the receiving end of a similar message from her. ::psy::

What i find interesting is that they ban so many people and there are STILL dozens and dozens of inane, juvenile and redundant posts.

Well the mods won't ban themselves, so that's inevitable!

ive never had a problem with TRF and have been on there for about 10 years. lot of helpful, knowledgeable people on there. the wealth of knowledge is nothing like VRF but i absolutely hate the 1995 format that that board is in. that being said, in the past year or so, there have been a ton of new members on TRF who think they know everything because they just paid 20% over retail for a Sub Date from a "Trusted Seller." leading up to basel, i had some n00b insisting that the 6542 was released as a Coke and this somehow translated into his reasoning for why a Coke was coming. there is a lot of that on there recently. Read dont post! and every other thread (literally) is "What reference has the most upside" or "how much will the xxxxxx go up if it is discontinued." but no, the Rolex market isnt in any sort of bubble....😉

She seemed quite popular here for a while. Wonder why?

Could be just me, but on TRF I find her annoying. Could be possibly an age gap. Find her posts juvenile....
That in itself probably isn't the reason for her being shown the door here.

I agree with her posts being juvenile, most of the time.

Apologies if my words seemed harsh ..

I only said that coz at times people whose first language is not English ( for e.g. me) can forget to use words like please, sorry or thank you!
Doesnt mean they arent polite thought, does it ?

Do you know mate I've been having the same problem with my new missus... Her 1st language is Spanish:

I ask " Would you like a nice cup of tea?"... and she just says "No!.. tea yooz make eez no good!
No 'yes please' or 'no thankyou' involved???😕

Serious nut jobs often seem juvenile. On the internet, of course, one doesn't have the benefit of seeing how old someone is.

Personally I've been on TRF for many years, for more than just Rolex watches, and I found it to be a very rewarding and friendly community.

Your right Patrick. If you play the game. God forbid you go outside the group think though.

It is not what you that gets one in trouble, it is how you say it 😀

Blimey! I've just had a look over on the Rolex Forum for the first time!😕 They do seem just a little bit 'full of themselves'???😕 They seem to be taking life very seriously???😕
Have they not realised we are all just 'fakkin about'... spinning around the big shiney thing... on a rock in space???😲
