I remember once I was invited to a social dinner at a new acquaintances’ home. When I realized the host and a couple of the other friends at the table where dermatologists I seized the opportunity and politely asked “ Would you please tell me if this genital wart is something I should be worried about?” You should have seen the reaction; I’ve never seen a group of people this rude in my life. Needless to say I’ll never join their parties again. I think they know because I’ve never been invited back.
Along with these unhappy refugees the scum of the Internet has gravitated to Omega Forums. Some of them have been waiting years for 200 posts.
Where did that quote come from?
thought I saw a familiar name! I think i even referenced this place too in a comment. really use trf to keep an eye on pricing. this place is definitely more welcoming, and more updated in terms of layout. gave up on vintage rolex forum as I couldnt navigate their page easily.
@RolexGod See @ulackfocus, he posts only constructive nonsense around Speedmasters and still didn’t get bannned since 7 and half years 😁
Some years back I was banned for asking a follow up question to a posted pic of a 5513 that apparently had a redial. When I asked how to tell it was a redial, one of the mods--a guy named Tools--replied, "Why are you asking a stupid question? It's a redial." I replied that there was no reason for a moderator to be so rude and he banned me.
VRF is moving (finally)to a Tapatalk platform as announced yesterday.
I agree - great source of info but absolutely the worst to navigate.
TRF is mainly new people posting to get their post count up, or BLNR/hulk incomings, + AD speculation, gets old quick! 😉

Politeness and etiquette are very challenging on global online forums:
- different levels of English proficiency and understanding
- vastly different cultural norms (Japanese vs American, etc)
- different personalities and style preferences (some like short/sweet, others like lengthy details)
- anonymity granted by pisting online
- few brief words that give others an impression of someone, could be very different than if you met them in person
At the end of the day, most people get back what they put out.
Well that’s strange, “user profile is unavailable”... I missed all the fun?

Wonder what forum he’s off to now complaining about being banned from OF.
When there’s a repeated pattern of others not liking what you say, at some point you ‘should’ realize that just maybe it’s you...
