Happy Birthday to me!!! Picked up my new SM Diver in the grey dial on bracelet from an AD today! Swung by the OB afterwards and ordered the blue rubber strap and buckle combo for another $260. Considering the price difference between bracelet and strap is only $100, made that decision a no-brainer.

Fit and finish is top notch, at least compared to my older Seamasters. You can really appreciate the flatness of the links compared to my Bond I think, noticeable on the wrist as well. The flatness also makes the polished bits less blingy IMO as well. The waves on the new version are not as pronounced in person, contrasted with the older waves which disappear in the accompanying photo.

Without my glasses, date legibility on the grey dial is terrible. It is much better on the blue and black dials. Not for that reason, but I came very close to going with the black and rose gold on black rubber, stunning piece in person. On bracelet, not so much.

Loving mine.
Hubert - we are watch twins! I bought mine on the bracelet, but also ordered the blue rubber strap. It's been on the rubber a while (I had the NYC boutique switch it over) but I'd like to put the bracelet back on.
I cannot for the life of me seem to get the spring bars to pop out of the lugs with the tool another Omega boutique sold me. You seem to have managed it to put your NATO on. Any tips on how to do it without waiting until I'm near a boutique again?

Thanks! I went ahead and ordered 3 Blu Shark NATOs, can't wait to start playing around with all the different looks.

As an aside, has anyone tried removing links yet? Curious to hear how other's experiences were before giving it a go.

I did. Not super difficult. I used a 1.6 mm screwdriver. Still have to apply loctite, but waited to be sure of the size

Links are easy to remove with the correct screwdriver.

It's changing out the bracelet for a strap that's a nightmare!

I ordered a new springbar tool with a much smaller tip last night - hoping it'll make removal of the rubber strap a lot easier. I chose the Bergeon 6767-F as it was heavily recommended in other threads.

Good to know! I have to check and see which one I bought for my SOH, hopefully it's the same one. Is the loctite really necessary? If so, what number?

That's disheartening to hear. I actually have the Bergeon bracelet pliers as well as the 6111. Would either of those work? They do on my other Seamasters.

Afraid I don't know - but if there's enough room on the other Seamasters to use what you have then perhaps there is on this one too. I've never bothered switching straps or bracelets on other watches, so this is new to me.

Looks like the Loctite purchased with Bergeon screwdrivers is 222.

I feel like the blue model would look so darn sharp on the beige nato that omega is offering these days.

I almost purchased the blue one as a to me from me Christmas gift... lol

But I’m waiting to see what 2019 has for Omega.

Are there any rumors that they will release this watch in a smaller 36mm size? This in 36mm with a blue strap = perfect.

Did my strap to bracelet swap tonight - this will sound silly, but should I be using two 6767F tools, with one squeezing each side? I managed it, but man it was fiddly!
