·The current GMT Aqua Terra is a mess. The dial is terrible. Those V-shaped hour markers are the worst thing I've ever seen. The 24-hour numbers are also awful. The dial is overladen and the numbers are too small. I love the GMT feature on a watch but Omega's version is a kludge.
One thing I've always loved about Omega is the attention to function and usability. They have gone too far with a bad design style, completely sacrificing usability for someone's insanely poor judgement about style. Hence my choice of a Rolex GMT2 at nearly twice the price of an AT.

a great opportunity to bring out a historic correct neo-vintage black radial dial Speedmaster to commemorate the Space Shuttle program

1968-2018 = 50 years Apollo VIII
Fingers crossed... There'll be a manned spacecraft around the Moon in December 2018, commemorating Apollo 8... if the 2 men crew would wear an Omega that would be a great tribute... although today I have seen other things by another great make 😗

·On the contrary, all they would really need to do is replace the fluted bezel with a rotating GMT one, add a GMT hand, and basically leave the rest of the watch alone. To me, a Globemaster like that would be a home run, something Omega could proudly hold out as their flagship GMT model that stands up well against any of the Rolex GMTs.

We may be on the cusp of a return. Great section in the NYT on watches, and at a recent fountain pen show, spoke to a few young guys who are keen on making their own mechanical watches. I sense a techno-backlash is afoot...

·All I want is a Omega online shop for accessories. Straps springbars and the like. Doesn't have to be watches.
Save having the half hour conversations to a Omega Boutique just to order a strap or a buckle. ( even after I have the part number )
If they only knew how much $$ they have lost over the years from me.
