I know, I know... too soon, right? I'd love to see Omega bring this, or something similar, out of the archives with a modern movement (hand wound, please!) http://www.ukspecialistwatches.co.u...-raf-6b-542-vintage-omega-military-2777-1-sc/
Was thinking along the same lines: 30T2rg, with the same care and devotion to simple elegance and time-keeping, updated, with perhaps a slightly increased case size, and a celebratory vitreous enemal dial in a beautiful egg-shell color, with solid-gold appointments.
Updated SMP 300m with MC caliber, solid Naiad case back, Liquidmetal inserts, redesign bezel font, redesign bracelet with adjustable clasp and price below 4.500€.
Oh rats! I was hoping I could stop thinking about this but since you asked.. Omega Globemaster GMT 40mm Titanium Reference 130.90.40.22.06.001
Would love to see the Dark Side of the Moon Master Chronometer'd and shrunken to 41mm. Then, give it a matte dial so that it doesn't need the double-sided AR (single-side only pls), and rubber under the nylon instead of leather. I always found it odd that they flaunt the durability and scratch resistance of the ceramic but then comes the weak AR (yes, I scratched the coating on my DSotM) and the strap that will be destroyed the moment it touches water. Then maybe fully lume the tach. TL;DR: Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon - 41mm - 9900 METAS - Matte dial w/ single-sided AR - Fully lumed tachymeter and crown like the GSotM - Rubber inner strap lining
I'd like a thin, time-only manual wind caliber to be used in a couple of entry level watches: a Ranchero reissue on the sporty side, and something dressy like a Tresor but offered in steel.
I'd love to see a racing dial c.1861 like Tintin (2013) or Japan LE (2004) being released as a true limited edition. I sincerely love what they did to the co-axial line up in this year's Basel. Haven't held one in flesh but they look slim and sporty. Amplifying the element of 'speed' in Speedmaster. I'd love to see a re-edition of the 'Jedi' and a a DeVille version of the Cal 9605 in Master Chronometer form
This is all I want! They could use the normal brushed and polished case, ditch the radial dial, even the fancy lume. That way they're not stepping on the toes of Speedy Tuesday.
