Am I the only one who thinks that the hour and minute hands look as if they are from two different watches? The styles clash big time, IMO.
I don't know if Longines followed a different pairing tradition than Omega, but here's their take on hands styles:

(from Ofrei.com)
Of course, it might be that Longines is simply ahead of the curve and has introduced watches with fake franken-parts in them on top of fake patina 😁
Which makes me think: should I just sell them when I no longer want one or just keep and wait a bit longer to buy the next. Still “building a personal watch strategy” as a personal framework to allow me to make better desicions.

These hands made me mad when I saw them the first time.
Artifical patina + mismatching hands = Big mistake
Those hands are not mismatched; they are the exact replica of the hands on the original 6B/159 watch.
This is what they look like.

Thinking about the spots of patina again, I think this is a watch with a sense of humor; it's a "wink wink /nod nod" watch, which is saying to people like us "we know what you're after and what you're into".
I remember reading someone on OF wrote this:
"I buy the vintage, keep it and wear on very special occasions and I'll buy the reissue and wear it as a daily. Win win"
Friends and I have been talking about this reissue and imo I think the spotting is fine, it really adds some character however it is made up.
It's fine line to walk, how much is too much?
Think of people unearthing these in 70-80 years...
"Oh, it has some light spotting on the dial"
"No, that was there to begin with! It's mint, actually"
They'll think we were stark raving mad.

and i would rather have that original all day long over the reissue. of course, that's probably not an option.
