Wanted to gauge the community's thoughts on this piece along with the dial fauxtina. I love the look of this watch and you get a lot for 2000 CHF but not sure if its worth pulling the trigger on vs saving for more expensive pieces on my list. Here's more on it from Hodinkee: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/longines-military-watch-introducing

I do but I worry about the trend trap and looking back years later and wishing I didn't go for it. I will wait to see it in the metal, and I like to think of the dial design as texture rather than fauxtina. That is one way to look at it.

I'd rather spend that kind of money on an original vintage Longines; it's going to only ever go up in value.

Yeah I tend to agree but I think the original’s case is probably too small. I can go down to 38 maybe 37 but nothing lower.

It’s got a case size of 32mm, not sure if they will work for me

Weak ;) the originals have a very slim bezel too, so they don't look like a typical 32 mm watch, more like 34 mm on the wrist. In my opinion, if a pilot risking their lives for king and country wore a 32 mm watch, there isn't much that's going to stop me wearing one. I'm not much of a trend follower though so maybe it's just me. I'll gladly wear a 32 mm watch one day and a 45 mm piece the next day

Yeah that's fair. I'd have to try on a watch in the lower MM range to be sure. I definitely not a fan of oversized, not sure if you consider 42mm oversized at this point.
