Perhaps a touch of Art Deco?
The pointy hands are very 1950s. As well as the overall inspiration for the model IMO, although it also does look somewhat 1980s/1990s.

Okay @Syrte and all, shes been overhauled and ready for duty. A delicate mechanism but running beautifully.

That's a gorgeous piece!

Late 1930's (?) Myr Prima.
Hot off the bench is a Myr Prima from -my guess- the late 1930’s. Purchase on eBay several months ago, its dark dial and art-deco case design caught my eye. The case was very scratched and, to my chagrin, chrome plated. This type of case work is out of my skill-set so I sent it to RePLATEit for refurbishing, who did a terrific job. It runs really well now that it is fully serviced. The case has fixed lugs, which limits the choice of watch straps. I lucked out because I found an open-ended strap that has a very similar color and texture to the center area of the dial.
The movement is stamped “MYR 29” and is based on a FHF 29 ébauche (Fabrique d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon SA).
I have found very little information of this brand on the Internet so feel free to chime in.

Just picked up this art deco Avia manual wind from local antique shop for less than the cost of a decent barbera. I generally don’t buy chrome watches but this case is super crisp with no pitting. Dial is magnificent; the specks are on the glass. Not running now, so will need to go off to watchmaker to diagnose what ails it. Hopefully nothing catastrophic…

One of my favorite buildings in Paris. Or rather set of buildings as this department store is housed in several buildings.
Some intensely art deco, and others intensely art nouveau; or rather the earlier type I would even call Jugendstil after its early 1900s Viennese incarnation.
I don’t quite understand why at dusk my phone would take such awfully washed out, milky picture. If anyone can understand I appreciate the explanation.
Best regards

It could be as simple as needing to wipe the camera lens clean to remove oil or debris that cause glare.

Worth the wait - glad they didn't demolish it. Hope to be able to afford to go there one day!

It could not have been destroyed as it was classified, But It’s a bit sad it’s become such a glitzy high end store losing a bit of its soul like many places in the city. But i guess that is the price to pay for the renovation.

Hope you get to see it too.
