That's a good question, to which I don't know the answer. I wonder if @Syrte had an idea?
Er… I’m not sure there’s an official name to them, but Longines had a similar style they called « cubiste » and like this one more from the early 1900s, which would make sense as the cubiste movement started in 1907, and from what I’m reading it lasted until the mid 20s— and it is distinct from art deco.

Those are very nice looking geometric patterns which predate art deco—and indeed the flourishes on the case also match the early 1900s.

There are many nice watches in this thread which are not art deco, but from various other styles of the 1910s 1920s, 1940s and 1950s, and that’s okay too 😉

Just seen on a antique street market. Art deco to the core. Silver plated bronze, too bad the background was crap.

Looks to be in the style of Dimétre Chiparus. He made many sculptures of danseuses in the 1920's.

1929 Elgin Premet from the Parisienne collection. Premet was a Parisian couturier.

Who wouldn’t ? Big congrats! Looks like she is building a Parisienne collection, unless you are for her 😉

I'm doing it for her out of self-interest: 1 watch for her, 2 for me! 😁

The one in the advertisement is the black and white version. I have one of those also but I prefer the colored versions (although it has a terrific engraving).

Found this 1938 beauty hiding, forgotten almost 2 years ago. A replacment crystal, a movement service, and a new old stock vintage strap was all it took to make things Rite again. (1938 Bulova Rite Angle.)

Wow. Fabulous. Congrats - and oh dibs. If I can ever afford it that is, and if you ever tire of it. @Tony C. would probably enjoy it too.
