Found at a local flea market, wonderful perfume bottle from Myrurgia. Leaning Art Nouveau? Can’t decide.

The stepped back motif is typical of Art Deco high rise architecture. Cheers!

I got this for 82 euros delivered. It is 40cm tall. Sorry, not art deco obviously but i thought it nice. Will clean up and be ok. Anyone pinpoint the style for me if they feel like it?
That letterbox is cool i reckon. Brieven means letters like, in an envelope

The bottle and drawing are very art deco, the script less so but in the end who cares if it’s a bit hybrid? Love it too!

This case shape was developed for Longines by Roger Dubuis in the late ‘70’s ???… Or so.
He later made it for his own line as the Sympathie.

A friend sent me this on instagram and, honestly, it works.

or it could be that Peter Jackson / Tolkien illustrators chose Art Nouveau styling for elves as it's organic and thought "we could use Art Deco for dwarves styling as it's kind of hard edged and angular a bit like rocks and minerals"

Hello everyone, had to update this thread after going a bit trigger happy with my phone.

A masterpiece of art deco architecture which I happened upon by chance in a place better known for masterpieces of another completely different era. Will let you guess where it is 😜

But looks much more (pre-war) German style than Italian

The flag looks Italian to me.

Milan is about the same distance from Munich as it is from Rome. FWIW.

In Italy we call it "Stile Littorio", typical of the fascist period

More Bauhaus than Deco, would you say? I do remember how heavily impressed by it I was - on one of my first ever backpacking trips (back in the twentieth century...)

My thoughts too -although Bauhaus was a movt whilst Deco was an era and there are many interchangeable features and motifs between styles of that period.

Venice station (while IMHO still an absolutely magnificent building regardless of its origin) is more in the accepted Italian fascist styling of the period.
