The fonts used for the dial numerals on the Omega and Tissot posted above by @hejsam and @bubba48, respectively, are indicative of Art Deco design, IMHO. Similar font designs became popular in the late 1920s and continued in common use into the 1940s. Art Deco design began in France just prior to WWI and continued to evolve throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Art Deco design elements continued to be popular in the 1940s. It should be noted, however, that there is no one Art Deco alfa-numeric font style. A variety of font styles are represented in Art Deco design. Take for example the numeric font used on the dial of the Bulova "Rite-Angle" posted above by @Deafboy. While the case design is decidedly from the "Streamline" branch of Art Deco, which emerged in the 1930s, the numeric font might just as easily be found incorporated in earlier Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau design motifs. Below are several examples of Art Deco clocks and watches incorporating a variety of font designs. Cheers!

I would tend to agree, The Omega and Tissot do use Art Deco fonts, but clearly there is some overlap between the movements. The Bulova for example from the top I would describe as entirely Art Nouveau. Whilst from the sides, it does have somewhat of an Art Deco character despite the languid lines, which I presume were inspired by the streamlining movement, it isn't streamlining however in my opinion as there are very defined concentric layers, which is not commonplace on streamline design. I would argue that despite this convergence of ideas, in my opinion this is still art Nouveau.

Have to share pictures of this incredible art deco piece! I got it in the incredible estate of a collector I got into recently. I’ve sold a few pieces from him here, but I think I need to hold onto this one, as a lover of art deco!

Wow! Fantastic enameled case and raised-numeral dial. Such a cool piece, thanks for sharing. EDIT: @Syrte EDIT2: I am tempted to call dibs. So good.

Appreciate all the love for this! It’s a really cool piece. My OCD will probably put me on the hunt for a matching period correct 14MM white gold filled Gruen buckle now… if anyone has one!

Here's my 1930's Ardmore with this bracelet. I think it's a terrific match.
I found it very difficult to adjust the length of the bracelet though... 1120519-50a6c4592f503c126f97b8ec606e5197.jpg

Appreciate that heads up. When you say difficult, difficult as in a good watchmaker should be able to do it? Or difficult as in even a good watchmaker will very likely mess it up? Because on initial search these are not cheap bracelets!

Here's a shot of Grandad's Waltham made in 1924: look at those numerals! Sooooo Art Deco.

I had kinda forgotten I owned this little gem, it was hidden away in my box of future projects. My 1934 Bulova Lone Eagle, equipped with a pretty nice 10AN, seventeen jewel movement.

Somewhat different but the numerals on this 1950s Wittnauer Alarm are typically referred to as Art Deco

Had to get my watchmaker to open this up so I could take a look. As suspected, definitely needs a full service and clean! But really cool to get some numbers and dive in to some research.

“reinforced with extra gold”

Interesting cal 157, from everything I found I believe this dates to 1929!

I could not find an easy way to remove the pins without damaging them. So to adjust length one needs to have extra pins+rivets. Have a look at this post.

You need to sacrifice a link, a pin, or both to do this, but it's not bad to reassemble if you use the right pins.

Started looking for a bracelet for this beaut, but realized she will probably not get the wrist time she deserves in my collection. Now thinking she might be next up on the chopping block. Stay tuned…
