The most awesome art deco dial I've ever seen:

Looks like something Hercule Poirot might carry.

I can think of a few names!...

I'm a complete dill!
Been there so many times and the "Art Deco" aspects had completely slipped my mind.
My Darlin' and I spend many hours in this beautifully restored Art Deco cinema, I'll have to take some shots next time we go to the movies.

Sun Theatre, Yarraville, Melbourne Australia.

Insane and sublime art deco with an aztec twist.
The Guardian building in Detroit.
A mosaic inscription in the lobby celebrates financial services- and a large fresco in an adjoining room depicts the US great lakes, agriculture and industry.

And for good measure the Penobscot building across the street from it....
There鈥檚 a couple other remarkable art deco buildings in Detroit - the Fisher theater and a movie theater- but unfortunately I wasn鈥檛 able to see them this time.

Strange lugs indeed. If your strap is a perlon, beware of the caseback! the strap will imprint its wave pattern on the metal over time...

I did put it on a perlon, usually have done two piece perlons but couldn鈥檛 with the fixed lugs. Thanks for the heads up - any suggestions? Electrical tape, etc hidden to protect the metal from the strap?

The transparent discs used to cover flat crystals should work. My 80's Bulova had one covering the case back and it still looks like new. You can find packs of these on Ebay.
