My mother in law surprised me for Christmas with my late Father In-law’s Aquaracer

Not sure how much love there is on here for Tag Heuer but he and I were close so this is very sentimental for me. And I am really grateful that she entrusted it to me. Gave it a good clean and had the battery as well as the gaskets replaced today. 😀

That’s awesome! And there is lots of love for Tag here 👍 😎 You’ll actually find that the Tag Heuer forum is a sister forum to OF and your login will work over there.

Bought this a couple of days back, hopefully will turn up in the New Year.
Particularly attractive configuration and dials on these late 60's 70's Anfibio's.

Another reason for the attraction of this one was the dial similarity to my Mustang Indianapolis and also it forms a different style to another Anfibio bought a couple of months ago.

This is my last watch of the year... 35mm, bumper 158, sharp case... Yeah, I'm a bumper sucker 😀

Technically, this is waiting for me at home, but I won't see it untill I'm back beginning of January. So, it will be my first of 2024 😀

Momentum Sea Quartz today to replace my failing Timex Ironman - thanks for 20 years of service my friend!

This 300m reissue of the original Magnum PI watch will be a lot of fun. Here’s to 20+ years with this one 👍

As posted in the pocket watch forum, I pulled the trigger on this Hamilton 992b railroad watch yesterday for a great price. It should arrive in a week or so.

Arrived in today, a quick lens polish and a new silicone strap and it looks really good.
Watchmaker will still need to service it and give the original Roamer lens a better polish to make it look new but at the moment its running well.
Lots of pluses for this purchase, original signed lens and OEM crown, plating whilst not as new is very unworn for its age just 2 very minor brassing points ( unfortunately shown in dappled lighting in this pic), perfect dial as usual with Roamer monobloc cases.
All in all a worthy addition to my Roamer collection.

Roamer Anfibio Ref 430-1230-012

Received today, tried removing the patina with baking soda/powder and lemon juice (so that the patina will be my "own" over time), but it didn't seem to remove much. Going to try again tomorrow.
