I have recently got myself a Panerai PAM140.
It’s been a year since I tried one on in the hope it would cure the want for one and a lot longer since I have been aware of them.
Other things have got in the way that’s delayed getting one up till now as it’s a big chunk of change for me but the right one, at a fair price came up so jumped on it .
I’ve had a few Panerai over the years and for me, 44mm is just right.
The newer rose gold and goldtech models I am not as keen on and these with the applied gold indices are super.
It will be worn quite a bit- carefully!

Bought last night on a Buy Now, 44 Jewel Roamer Roto Power, cal MST436.
Seller pics

These are pretty rare to find being the Dateless model ( Roto Power rather than Roto Date) and this one looks in exceptionally good cosmetic condition.

A new, oldest (erm... 'most vintage') addition to the collection. 😀

Wow, it's been a good week for new arrivals!

I have been lusting after a JLC Reverso Duo (ref 270.8.54) since I first saw one. I created a tracking spreadsheet online and was watching auction after auction, sometimes seeing the bidding going wildly out of control. Earlier this month I got pretty bummed when a nice example came up and the bidding was light, only for me to find out that the auction house put a very low bid limit on my account and didn't tell me about it until it was too late to raise it. But patience is a virtue, and I got this one below the 12-month average (and well below YTD avg) price:

Bought this morning a Ruhla Chronograf, seller pics.
Its got a bunch of those 70's vibes with that bund strap and the watch itself looks cosmetically perfect, apparently been in a drawer for 50 years.

Apparently was running fully when taken out of the drawer for sale but now stopped so it looks like the East German GDR black sea whale oil has dried out so will need a service to replace the oil with Swiss Mountain Billy Goat ball oil or possibly some West German synth oil mined from the Goblin caves of Southern Bavaria ( I dont think you can get Danish Troll oil any more).

Two beauty from 70s

You are lucky to have 2 ! Very under appreciated in the West but very well respected in China, I am fortunate to have 1 but a women's watch.

Nice catch

Bought these 2 Roamers tonight, seller pics.

The Roamer Mustang Indianapolis is going to need a fair amount of work, wrong hands, new lens and that case looks to need replating to get it back nice again and of course a service. Sold in working order which is a plus.

Had been a bit worried about the Mustang with the hands being incorrect and the dial colour seemed a bit too light however I am reasonably satisfied its actually correct and thats its just the sellers camera settings.
I was worried that it might be an Indian import with an incorrect movement however close inspection of the date wheel in the photo has me 100% assured its correct.

The other Roamer Anfibio also in working order just seems to need a new OEM crown and lens polish plus of course a service.

Well pleased with both purchases if they are as described, hopefully so.

Thats the 3rd Roamer purchase this week and my second Mustang Indianapolis.

The 3rd Roamer that I bought earlier this week turned up today and very well pleased with that one too.
Roamer 44 Jewel in a great stainless case and original crown, just needs a lens polish and a service so it can enter the ever growing Roamer collection.

Plus an extra ‘like’ for the Anfibio

You can say that again, normally I am not much into the 17 Jewel Roamers and by far prefer to collect the 44 Jewelled watches such as this early Mustang BUT in the case of this Anfibio its got it all going for it with the black dial and stainless case and of course its the early monoblock case rather than the later lesser quality screw back which means that the dials are usually in perfect condition as they seem to retain their "Water Proof " quality ensuring the dials dont corrode.
With all of my 44 jewel monocased watches ( there is a lot lol) none have a poor weathered dial!

I’m looking forward to seeing the 'after' photos after the grunge is removed and the crystal polished.
