Just bought this this afternoon and picked it up.

Was only buying it as the only other 23 Jewel Roamer Rotodate I had was in gold plate and this looked like it might have been stainless, really poor seller pics.
Boy am I glad I did buy it it really is quite beautiful and nicer than my other very good condition one.

Will need to replace the lens but I could possibly getaway with just a polish except for one small internal fissure.

In good running order which is a plus and only $1.00 over my self imposed dollar limit for this watch ( going off seller pics).
Crown is in perfect like new condition even though my photos dont show it, it actually could be new ( but isn't).

For some reason I have yet to find a Roamer crown of this vintage to be in anything other than excellent to new looking condition, a real testament to Roamers quality control of materials unlike most other Swiss vintage brands.

As an added bonus the Maruman expander bracelet is in extremely good, dare I use that word again, almost new condition.

Even though in the past I have not been a fan of expanders with covid / lock-downs / shit delivery services and delays I have been forced to keep many of my vintage purchases on their original expanders and in the intervening time have actually quite grown to like the look on appropriate vintage watches, this strap will almost certainly be staying on this watch after its service.

Just arrived this morning, Mens 25 Jewel Revue, sporting an ETA 2783.
Not in running condition but movement looks ok.

Polished yesterday's Roamer 23 Jewel MST 441 Rotodate acrylic lens up last night, the fissure at 4 O'clock can still be seen, will do until it gets serviced however the daily rate SPD is only a little out.

The indices and hands are a bit different they look tarnished but at close inspection they are actually shiny very dark gold coloured, looks nice in person but doesn't show so much in the photo. The affect is added to by the gold rim at the bezel edge, initially I had thought it was missing the thin white chapter ring my other example has but as my wife pointed out there are 4 lume dots at the dial edges which wouldn't be there if it had an additional chapter ring so I am guessing that its all legit, the upside is that the dial gets lit with as golden glow which really offsets the dark indices and hands to a very positive affect

Poly what?

Just back from service, new prismatic OEM NOS lens same as original.
Really hard to show the lens profile in a photo and these dials I have noticed in the past are hard to get a clean image of as well, got 3 similar blue dialed of these.

Just bought this at auction, I am still Buzzing!! I haven't been this excited by a Roamer watch purchase in forever.

Did not expect to win the auction at all but for some reason no one else bid, sometimes the gods smile either that or it was Easter Weekend and they all had been distracted by other things.

Paid not a lot given what it is but who knows what the condition is like until its in my hot little hands.

Still Buzzing!

Roamer Mustang Indianapolis MST 471 (MOD 471) probably the 44 Jewel version by it's earliness either that or the later 28 iteration but I suspect early.

Cheapest of the cheap. The apple watch has a diagnal crack on it so only the upper left of the touch screen works. But for less than 10 bucks I was amazed it paired. The Monarch was 3 bucks. I never account for the shipping and handling tax which was more than these cost.

Been on the lookout for one of the Omega “Superflat” tanks from the early 60s for sometime now. I wanted one that the case unpolished (or as lightly polished as possible) and had a dial that was in decent shape. Luckily, a couple weeks ago, one came up eBay and I was able to snag it for what I would say is a steel of a price.

Definitely needs a service and a new crystal, which is already on the way, but I gotta say I’m really quite happy with the find.

The way the light catches these facets is really something when on the wrist..

While my consolidation efforts are not going anywhere, I‘ve added this clean and sharp EP.

Venus Pointer Date

Venus has "points" of her own. I am reminded of the Bob Seger song, Night Moves and the line "points of her own, settin' way up high"

I was surprised to see Matt Le'Blanc in the music video, had to watch it after that earlier post. With Joey Tribianni taking full advantage of those points way up high.

Insomnia can be a real benefit for vintage watch collecting. Picked up this beautiful Seamaster 2635 with a honeycomb dial and Breguet numerals in the middle of the night on eBay. 😀
