My wife and I walked into my favorite AD the other day. She really liked the Hamilton Field Mechanical 38, so I bought it. Since our anniversary is coming up, why not snag her an early gift? Presto seems to like it, too.

Landed this from an eBay auction. Actually lost the bid but winner flaked and I was second so here it is! Lovely worn but what seems to be unpolished case, great lume (uv test passed), splendid dial condition. All it needs is a trip to the spa and a NOS crystal replacement. Always thrilling to find small treasures on the Bay.

This arrived today, seller pics as its already at my watch maker to determine its fixability.

Bought just because its an oversize 57 mm and of course its pure nickel cased.

Know nothing about the brand at all or the movement, others can comment as to whether the movement is worthwhile or just another run of the mill movement.

Just bought at auction tonight, two watches in one auction and as luck would have it 2 brands that I actively collect.

3 watches are always on my radar, Roamer 44 jewels, Enicars and Eterna Matics so this auction worked out really well.

The Roamer 44 is the dateless 44 jewel MST436 calibre which is quite rare, I only have 1 other one so I was very keen to snaffle this one.

The Enicar, I already have a couple of examples of this particular reference, the case looks a bit shabby but its amazing once the lens is replaced and a bit of cleaning that the eye doesn't notice the plating so much.

Just bought at auction today a modern watch.馃槻
The price was right compared to new retail.

Wife just said I buy too many watches but that cant be right, I just did a quick count up of how many I have bought this past month and its only like 15 give or take a few 馃檮 and as I explained to her the cost was minimal compared to the next step which is the service cost, oh wait maybe I shouldn't have said that :whipped:

I was able to order the Smiths PRS-29A during the June Timefactors sale window. Took delivery a few days ago:

The next window is tomorrow, I might try my luck. How are you finding the watch?

I don't have any complaints. It's great having a watch I can "bang" around without worrying too much over it. Good luck tomorrow!

Latest addition. Needs a trip to the spa and possibly a new crystal as the scratches seem pretty deep. Do let me know if you know where to get one or if it uses the same as some other case reference. Cheers!
