Here is today's haul, you might have noticed that they are all a trifle small? But I have it on good authority that this is the coming fashion ( well that's what last night's nightmare told me) and I am going to get in early buying up all the women's watches while they are still cheap, I know it won't be long before the Rolex bubble bursts and these become the next big thing.

First up is a 25 jewel automatic Rona.

Next up an Edox as I seem to be collecting these now. Next a Citizen then a titan and lastly the peice de resistance for my 4 year old girl ( the most important one of all).

My watch maker will have a fit when he sees these super tiny watches as his ageing eyes will be having conniptions trying to work on them.

PS they are running fine but need some cosmetic work and a service, except of course the Jelly Bean Club watch which is new.

OK, here goes, here are Todays purchases.

This is the 2nd Enicar Ultrasonic 23 J I have bought this week, the first one has a faulty balance wheel ( rule number 1: most sellers lie!) hopefully this one will be as described ie excellent working order.

The Eternamatic will require a bezel ring, that will be fun to find 🙁 and of course a service.

The Roamer Amfibio is amazing, beat error of between 0.0 to 0.2 ms and daily rate of between 1 to 5 seconds depending on which position its in. It arrived with an aftermarket Crown but luckily I have a new old stock correct Crown which my WM will fit to it. I already delivered both the new Crown and watch to him today. Phew I have had a busy day!

The Roamer Stingray 44 Rotomatic hasn't arrived yet, bought off FB in OZ ( I am in NZ) but that's the one I am most happy about, a great honest seller and an incredibly hard to find watch these day in near perfect order.
Looking at the watch photos I am inclined to beleive it is a very early Stingray as it says waterproof on the back as opposed to water resistant also that the dial outer track looks to have pm text which relates to PM = promethium lume which was only used for a short time in the 60's which dates this to an early example so hopefully has the full complement of rubies ie 44 as opposed to later editions which had the count reduced to 28.
This will also be my first MST471, all my other 44's are MST436 and MST437.

I have not been able to secure any 44 Jewel Roamers of late here in NZ as none have appeared for sale, I normally try and buy them all and havent failed yet off NZ auctions!

The last 2 womens watches the Osco cost but NZ$3.00 and works perfectly.
The Seiko, my wife wanted, cost NZ$15.00 and 120.00 to service with front and rear glass replaced as well as other minor stuff.

Well that's a good description of a normal day in my collecting world 😀 Whats yours?

I wouldn't confess this to most people, but I know it's a safe space here! Just bought this 135.041 Genève, essentially for the 1156 stretch rivet bracelet! Watch itself is okay and I'm pretty tolerant of patina, and it's been serviced. From what I gather here and elsewhere, these bracelets are uncommon but were available for a number of 60s Omegas depending on endlinks. I've used similar ones on my c-cased Connies and love the genuine riveted look (to the point I don't get the hate for the BB58 bracelet).

I'll circle back to everyone when it's in hand...

This arrived in 20 minutes ago, well pleased.

Only had it in my possession for 15 minutes before I took it to my Watchmaker for a lens polish.

On this occasion I might forgo the obligatory service as this ticks so loud and even, all the other measured watch positions were as equally impressive for a 60 year old watch.

I am guessing it's an estate peice that's had a recent service or almost no wear since it's last service.

Absolutely must change that lens to preserve the long term integrity of the dial.

These just arrived, a chronometer-grade Seamaster and a Citizen Chronomaster. Both late 60s.

Both look great, wear in good health.

If possible, do share your thoughts on ChronoMaster. Thanks.

It has a quality feel to it for sure, you can tell that Citizen meant it to be high-end. It's a very nice size at 36.5mm. I guess I could compare it to a King Seiko in some ways.
