I was looking for a C Case Connie, but was offered this by a fellow forum member. USA to the U.K. in 3 days. A nice, honest, Sparkle Dial Seamaster 168.023.
I am sure I am not the only one to succumb to a late night impulse buy on eBay occasionally. I recall there is a thread on that very topic somewhere.
This impulse buy arrived today, and I am both relieved and pleased. Maybe it looks a bit out of place amongst the vintage Omegas, but my soft spot for chronographs was started by a Speedmaster moon watch years ago.
This is an 18K gold Chronographe Suisse made in the 1950s or early 60s. 37mm case, Landeron movement, running beautifully.
Will need some love (eg the correct hands, which are already on the way to me, and a proper polish of the crystal), but then this should turn out quite nicely, I think:
