Nice 1966 cal. 561 168.017 which has travelled/traveled all the way from Tampa.

Hoping I haven’t bought a lemon
I would try work with a watchmaker to source the correct hands. They should go out to the minutes register. Like this one:

Then you can sell the hands on the watch now to someone who has a pie-pan dial Constellation. Those use the shorter hands that you have.

Otherwise a very nice pickup! 👍

From the first moment I saw the new white dialled SM300 I was smitten.

It has taken me a year to find one locally at a price I couldn't refuse.
Full set as well. Still under warranty.

Straight on a grey nato & I'm chuffed.

Yes a bit of a change, I tend to stick with dress watches plain and simple but I don't mind chronographs with the same dress watch ethos.

So many chronographs are in Dive style which doesn't usually float my boat, for example the same seller was selling a Tag Automatic Chronograph dive watch for ridiculously low money in like new condition but this one did it for me.

Normally Vintage is my preference but the quality of the watch also has a huge appeal and Raymond Weil watches are known for their attention to detail and quality of the build, alas they don't engender the same following as Tags, Omega or Rolex but as I say you would be hard pressed to find fault with the RW, far more watch for substantially less cash though this was not that cheap it was well under market price.

Hoping I haven’t bought a lemon

If it's come from Florida, better it's a lemon than a croc.

Okay hasn't arrived yet but I've never been so happy to see a delivery pushed out a few days, my wife won't be around Monday when I have to sign for the package 😀
So, how did this go?
Do you have a separate storage box in the basement, and slowly integrate the new acquisition into the ‘known’ items sitting on the dresser? Or do you swap one out and hope the new one won’t be noticed?
Others need to know!
(Not me personally, I dealt with the first half of this dilemma some years ago) 😉

Not in the same league as some of the great watches here but it’s arriving soon.

Bauhaus would be even more simple and clean. My watch has a lot going on, even though first impression is "clean & simple". Even the indices are decorated with grooves.

This is considered Bauhaus:

... sorry, I couldn't resist 😁 Check out Nomos if you are interested about modern Bauhaus inspired watches.

no worries, tks for clarifying. always looking to learn more. Nice details on the indices!

Bought this Titanium Diver last week unfortunately in faulty condition but due to Covid will take a while to get posted to me.
Normally wouldn't have bothered its just that I have been looking for an all Titanium watch and bracelet and I actually like the Invicta auto traditional Dive watches quiet a lot if even just for their water tight reliability, very underrated this Invicta format.

Wittnauer spotted from Recommended Good Value Vintage Deals -thread for about 200€ (after discount + taxes & shipping). Thank you @Nepomuceño 😀 The rectangle shaped tritium marks remind me of Longines Conquest.

Two incomings this month - yes...I know...it's an illness 🤦

#1 I've been looking for an above average example of an '85 for nearly 18 months and the boat finally came in.

#2 a burgundy Smiley to sit along side the Bucherer blue and the Noir black
