Poor mans Cairelli. I saw it listed for auction some while back. Liked it but didn't make a bid. Actually regretted that, and when it was relisted I decided to give it a go.
Santa came by early this year, and I must have been a very good boy;-)
Bulova Valjoux 7731 Marine Star from the late 70's.

So it was you, who ended up getting it 馃榾 I followed it as well and actually created a thread in here about it. That was the first listing, where it didn't sell. I think it was a very nice catch for the money. This was actually the third time it was listed. Awesome that it went to someone in the OF 馃憤

I actually found the thread after making the purchase. Have been much out and about lately so I did not research it as well as I normally would have. Found your thread on a Google search 馃槻!
Looking forward to picking it up in person in Copenhagen on December 12. I have had it shipped to a friend there.
Cheers!

Dead Ducks 馃槙

Nope, and not Cold Duck either. 馃槣 I'd tell everybody what it is, except Roger (@Baco Noir) and other Cab fans might pass out. 馃榿 (okay, a slight exaggeration)

Not technically bought today (got it last week), but first chance to snap a picture of it. Much thanks to the talented Mr Kringkily, a long wanted Apollo 13 "Snoopy" Speedy in wonderful condition.

A NOS case with chapter ring showed up today from Istanbul. So happy to make progress on this project watch. Still needs a good service but the hard part is out of the way.

Having more luck than I thought on parts. Bought a dial today to swap out the horrible redial.

Now on to a search for hands.

An unveiling to come at the weekend, but here is a clue:

Measuring a summer's day, I only find it slips away to grey.
The hours, they bring me pain.

I had since before an Omega Bullhead with a damaged dial. Now, after 7 years, I suddenly got an opportunity to upgrade my collection with one with flawless dial!
