Well, this arrived today - all the way from Buenos Aires to London - a 1967(?) 1479K automatic. It looks to be in great condition but I’m test driving it to see how it runs.

As I posted previously, I took a chance on the watch but the seller/dealer impressed me and I paid about £130 plus postage and tax, so I was happy to risk it.

I love this one. I bought the identical watch a few years ago before I was a wiser more sceptical watch collector but alas mine appears to be polished beyond all human decency, the seller whilst not in India had an Indian sounding profile name, lesson well learned!!
Fortunately the watch in question runs well but Salvador Dali would be the name you might sign to the finished piece, your however is perfect!

Popped into my AD at the weekend and was undecided between a Speedy and Seamaster...so chickened out and bought both...

Looking forward to this arriving! Steel & Sedna gold 300. Blingy for a sports watch, but if I hate it I'll sell it.

How did you get on with this - I had the same sedna / steel 300 - sold it and regret it big time - it's such a fine watch!

I found that I love it. I often wear it all weekend, or switch out to it in the day. I was wearing it this past weekend and someone actually commented on my watch, which - as we all know here - rarely happens outside of watch enthusiast friends. I know they weren't a watch enthusiast because they said, "That's a great looking watch! When did you buy a Rolex?" 🙄

I Love the 120's!
Almost picked up one just like it recent. It wasn't the one so i'll keep looking.
