'65 Crosshair Seamaster 166.003 with a cal. 562. Has a little pressure damage to the crystal, but a new one is on the way.
This little guy arrived earlier this week, Titus Calypsomatic 7110, 32mm. Fall in love with it last Dec and decided to make it mine a few days ago
Thanks, got me worried there for a minute . Yes on the Titus Calypsomatics the date alternates between red and blue, nice little feature . The 32mm sits well on a small-medium wrist.
It's only a silicone tropic style strap. Need to find a genuine tropic with curved ends 17mm which is an unusual size. These watches originally came with a steel bracelet.
Lovely. I have a 165.003 and really like this style of case. Are you getting a new crystal with or without the cyclops?
Long since my last post in here. Lemania ref 221 cal 2990 (Omega Cosmic 381 sibling). Thank you @Mitka for a fantastic job in resurrecting this one!
Picked this up at local auction with a few other watch bits, only needed a bit of TLC and working like new.
When two buses come along at once... I decided last week to buy myself a little present. I needed to cheer myself up a bit as I had a bout of mild depression. Since I caught the bug I've not bought any new watches, I have no divers, and I have no dark dials, so I thought I'd redress that with an Orient Mako FEM75002. It's the older model and Creation Watches are selling them at a deep discount, it cost me £115 shipped. Then at the weekend I saw on eBay a Seiko Samurai on a "buy it now" for £225, boxed, labels, everything. I thought that was a good deal so snapped it up before someone else did. I think it was listed for less than an hour before I snaffled it. And guess what? They both arrived today. Funnily enough, part of the pleasure of ordering the new watch was the anticipation of unpacking and having all the paperwork, etc, but with creation, it comes in a soft wallet, and a flat box, with only a guarantee. It feels more like a secondhand watch than the Seiko which had everything except the original receipt. I'm even going to need to look up the operation instructions for the Mako. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the fact that I now have two heavyweight blue dialled divers but for the time being they can both get wrist time while I decide which one I like the best.
I did a little “bought cheap on eBay” over the weekend as well This is a surprisingly well-finished watch (and very nicely packaged, with a polishing cloth and nice leather box) for its MSRP of $1,000. That I got it for far far less than that is just even better! Of course, it’s a problem because I figured that this would be just a cheap titanium beater trifle but it’s so nice that now I pretty much have to buy more modern Midos
Really nice! What’s your first impression of the blue color? I would like to see more photos of this watch, one of the modern watches which really got my attention!
