Got this Glycine Combat Sub this week. It will Probably become a gift for my daughter's boyfriend, either for Xmas or his birthday in a couple of months. It's either this, or a Hodinkee Swatch LE, or both. #431 of 500 (but now they're going to make more, like the numbered FOIS).

In that case I hope he is not reading this forum... 😀

A ‘grail’ suddenly became available, and at the right moment.

Here she be!

Incredible piece! (And nice pairing with the shirt!)

Definitely not, and he likes the Glycine - my watchmaker regulated it and in the 2 days on the winder before Xmas it was between -0.0 sec/day for 29 hours and +1.8 sec/day over the next 16.5 hours, for an average of +0.74 sec/day over 45.5 hours. I'd say it's running pretty tight.

Hey me too! So far I am impressed with the obvious quality. The glossy ceramic bezel and movement finishing make it feel every inch a serious Sub competitor, but at a much more modest price point. You may find that on a NATO it gets pretty tall. These are already pretty thick and a NATO makes it worse, I did a write up last year on the Spectre vs the '57 LE SM300 and the verdict was that the NATO was not the way forward with the SM300 MC case. These pics are poor but act as proof of life!:

Thanks for the info, I did have concerns about the height with the NATO so opted for a nice tan leather strap as well, I’ll have a play around and see what happens. Enjoy yours, lovely watch!

Arrived this morning from Belgium. Now resized. I love a manual movement, winding life into the mechanism and watching it spring into action give me a feeling of real involvement in the watch.
