Thought I'd ease back in to collecting after a couple of years break. So much for that idea.........

I traded a stainless 42mm PO for this Titanium Planet Ocean in late September. I wore it for a little while to be sure I liked it and then sent it in for service to Omega Canada in Toronto. I’m very pleased with this watch. I wish I had bought this PO first as it’s by far the most comfortable one I’ve had. This is a keeper.

Got this Glycine Combat Sub this week. It will Probably become a gift for my daughter's boyfriend, either for Xmas or his birthday in a couple of months. It's either this, or a Hodinkee Swatch LE, or both. #431 of 500 (but now they're going to make more, like the numbered FOIS).

Finally got a seiko presage. Just arrived to day. It’s actually a big watch I think it’s the lug to lug and thick case that bring the size factor out but I’ve been wearing it for a few hours and I have to say it is amazingly comfortable. I love the dials on these watches. Picked it up used under 200 couldn’t resist. Not great pics sun was setting so I stood near a back door to catch a little natural light. Used but plastic is still on the back I’m leaving it on as a friend of mine wants to but it but after feeling the comfort factor I may just keep it.

Cool! I bought a combat sub as a beater, and I've been pleasantly surprised by what a good value it is. I've put it through a lot of punishment, but it still looks new and keeps great time.

So you think the Hodinke Swatch LE would make a better gift so I can keep and beat up the Glycine? 😉

I have a lot of beaters (SKX, Turtles, Luminox, Victorinox, etc), but I baby them all.

Today i bought an entire Illinois Bunn Special movement to get one part, I’m sure meny of us have gone done this road before. My 1928 model was in for routine service and a badly worn click was turned up. Yes I have the part says the watchmaker, but its attached to the rather complete movement which needs only a balance staff. $60 later i have a spare movement, which needs a balance staff and a click, and my beloved Bunn Special is back up and running.

total bill? 180CDN, including the movement, so not a bad day after all.

then it was off to the Suzuki dealer for bits for the cafe racer project.
