The inside looks pretty fresh and the caliber 3000 seems to keep the time so far so all in all I'm quite happy with my new Lemania 👍

I hope you enjoy the photos.

That is one of the most beautiful photos I've seen of a watch movement, the lighting is perfect. That's one very fine watch you have there. Its been a pleasure just seeing it.

I just got this black Lemania today and I think it's worth sharing. I'm really trying to save the stash for something incoming but as many times before I just had to grab this piece😁.
Anyhow, I think that the dial is very interesting. It is so hard to take a good photo but I hope you can see it. It is some sort of the two tone dial with textured edge. (maybe there is a name for this type of dials). It is patinated but just in the way I like it. You can see it in the sunlight photo.

It looks like the minute index lume plots have been relumed at some point. The tiny second index dots are actually made of "gold". As you can notice, I'm just amazed by the detail level of this dial 😀.

The case is roségold on steel and it looks very much like my Omega Constellation (2782) from 1954. Unfortunately the crown is not original and the crystal also looks too new to be original.

Does anyone knows where to find the serial number table for Lemania movements?

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Bought this a while ago, but he needed a good service.

Just pick it up yesterday

Lemania chrono in 18 kt gold with lemania 27CH C12.

Lugs are not common.

That's a pretty massive spacer! How wide is the watch? 37mm or so?

Thanks a lot! Glad to get some positive feedback. The purchase was very quick and I pretty much have no knowledge about Lemania but sometimes you just have to take the chance 😀. Cheers

Thanks @STANDY . I'm really curious to know exact production year. I tried looking for Lemania reference table online but no luck.

What does pure “toot” mean?
Toot or Tut (though phonetically it would be the former so as to be rhymed with soot and not rut) is a slang synonym for rubbish or nonsense, as favoured in the London area and somewhat popularised by Lord Alan Sugar on the UK version of The Apprentice.

as in, "I'm not giving you fifty quid for this load of old toot".

Just arrived last night. Another Memomatic 166.072 on 1162 bracelet. This watch was sold as "alarm not working". It works!!!, just delayed by five minutes. Same with the date change-over +5min. Hopefully just an adjustment during the service it is about to get. I love these watches. Great value for a fantastic looking watch.

A very nice Lemania indeed!
Congrats on a great pickup!👍

I have collected serial numbers with confirmed purchase or dedication dates.
Yours I would date to 1954-1955.

The dial design is very interesting. I have never seen a black version with that pattern before.
What I do have is a cal 4651 Automatic with a similar pattern in silver.

The ref 280KO appears also in my 1956 catalogue.
It came in A-Acier and KO, Gold on Steel.

Note that the reference number is a case reference only. Lemania had a modular and small scale production. You may find a great variety of sweep seconds and sub seconds movements (3000 family) and dial variants for the same case ref.

Prices in GBP 1956.

And my 4651 Automatic.

Cheers.

Actually, with the exception of the first two watches , and the Seamaster, on the previous page, the rest are all Lemania powered!
🥰
