I have just pulled the trigger on this James Hunt OMOLOGATO Motor sports watch, for me that fact that it is a British company makes it sweeter.
I realise that it being a Quartz is not going to be everybodys cup of tea but it suits me and that is what matters.. .

Bulldozer, I maybe wouldn't go for this myself but I like the attitude.

After the last PP acquisition saga, I’m afraid we need to see Chunky and the watch together. 🤔

My first Lemania🥰

Beautiful color scheme. Is the color in the image true to life or is it a effect of the lighting?

Just ordered a 16mm leather band for my Tower watch. The original band is in fairly good condition but is proportioned for a boy's wrist.
I ordered a black pebble grained band, I'd have rather had a grey band like the original or a brown band but no grey was available and the brown (coffee) band had a gold toned buckle which would not look right with the chrome plated case. If I'd thought of it at the time I could have polished the gilding metal off the gold toned buckle and went with the coffee color.
The tower is keeping time very nicely, I may start wearing it occasionally.

I also found a nice band I'd removed from a generic Japanese quartz watch I got as a gift maybe 20 years ago. I still have the watch and it still works perfectly, the band just didn't suit that particular watch so I switched it for a twistoflex clone. The band is two toned black and light brown with fancy ends and stitching. After seeing Slique's Lemania I decided to use this band on a refurb that has a very nice looking old ivory colored dial with a finely done spiderweb pattern. The band sets off the dial perfectly. Unlike many predominately brown bands this one has a chrome buckle that matches the case.

My thirty year old 7002 has developed unreliable idiosyncrasies. Re-education doesn’t seem to be working so I’ve gone for a younger model....

I may well stop collecting wristwatches and move to pocket watches! A chronometre grade movement with hacking in a rolled gold Dennison case as clean as the day it was made (but for a few smudges inside the glass). What does one pay for a watch like that? £70.

I also picked up a Jaeger LeCoultre GSTP pocket watch for £20 and a favour. That needs a new stem and a clean, but nothing more.
