Took the plunge and bought my first Omega. Have been a Longines person for a long time and feel comfortable with purchases over the internet, etc. Seems likes a lot of bad Omega stuff out there so never bothered. That being said, research led me to the conclusion I wanted a 30 mm manual wind Omega movement to go with my Longines 30L/302 watches. Fellow forum member had a nice example in solid gold, well maintained.
Will post more when it arrives - I guess it is around 22 x 34 big, but I might have bought a women's watch by accident. Here's hoping it isn't!
Picked these both up in Stockholm yesterday from a very nice watchmaker who had a lot on offer and very decent prices. Nearly also purchased a 34mm polerouter dress watch in 18kt gold, but I couldn't source the cash, as there was no way to pay by card . I actually wish I had gotten some more photos of what he had on offer.
Overpaid for several watches myself...looking back now they seem like a deal. Congratulations on a very nice watch!
Just a bit of Bauhaus before the holidays. I’ve admired this watch for years and was inspired by WRUW Today to finally pulll the trigger. It does not dissapoint.
My last purchase of the year.....I think. Broke the $50 barrier again for good reason..... International purchase so it will be a little while until it's in my hot little hands...... Seiko Bellmatic 4006-6031, I don't have a case-back shot so I can't date it but it's post 1970. Yes, that's the original coffin link bracelet. The bracelet is worth more than double what I paid for the watch. Seller failed to mention the bracelet and had the watch listed in the watch parts category. Seller states it's it good running order and the alarm works. Cant wait to get my hands on it.
Congratulation. You did it again. Beautiful example of a Companion with light dial. You got 'em all no wonder I cant find any Great addition to your collection. Good luck with it.
Hey Paul, Ya, I lucked out again. The funny thing about this watch is that the dial is a light ivory color and the other dial is a light buff but I think both dials were originally the same. Here is the collection as a whole.
